Meeting Information
Board of Zoning Appeals public hearings are held on an as-needed basis upon receipt of a proposal from an applicant. The meetings are typically held on a Wednesday evening at 7:00 PM in Room 100 at City Hall. Public notice of the date and time of each public hearing is published in the Cumberland Times-News, on the City's Facebook page, through mailed correspondence to neighboring property owners, and is posted on the subject property no fewer than 15 days prior to the hearing.

Purpose of the Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals holds public hearings in which individuals seek a special exception or a variance from the Zoning Ordinance. Full details on the Board of Zoning appeals can be found in Section 1.18 of the Zoning Ordinance. Please contact Community Development staff if you have a project that may require a special exemption or variance.
Board Members
Board of Zoning Appeals members are appointed by the Mayor and Council and serve three-year terms. The current members are:
