Sergeant Matthew Beeman

Sergeant Matthew Beeman

Sergeant Matthew Beeman has served as a Frostburg City Police Officer for twelve (12) years. Prior to that, he served as a military police officer in the U.S. Army for eight years. Sgt. Beeman served three (3) combat tours in the Middle East with the 3Bde 3ID, plus one (1) tour of duty in South Korea.

Sgt. Beeman is trained as a police field training officer, in-service course instructor, and firearms instructor. He has also received training in crime prevention and numerous other topics, and he completed college coursework while in the military.

Sgt. Beeman served as the School Resource Officer and D.A.R.E. instructor for six years, where he positively impacted the lives of many young people. He currently serves as the day shift supervisor for his patrol group, on the department's Honor Guard, and as the fleet manager.

Among other recognitions, Sgt. Beeman received a commendation from the Mayor & City Council for his response to the tragic murder incident on Maple Street in November 2011.

Matt devotes much of his personal time to the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Midlothian, where his wife, Kristin, serves as the Lead Pastor. Matt continues his work with youths in the community by serving as a Leader in the Royal Rangers boys group at the church.

Matt lives in the Frostburg community with his wife, Kristin, and their two children, Olivia and Judah.

PCO II L. Regina Bennett

PCO II L. Regina Bennett

PCO II L. Regina Bennett has served as a Police Communications Operator of the Frostburg City Police Department since 2010.

PCO II Bennett is a veteran of the United States Navy. She served as a Hospital Corpsman and achieved the rank of HM2.  During her military career she served at the Naval Hospital Balboa, the HSL-42 Helicopter Squadron, the Naval Hospital Cherry Point and Operation Desert Shield/Storm.

In her service to the City of Frostburg Police Department, she provides police dispatch and communications services. She handles taking both emergency and non-emergency calls; dispatching, monitoring, and recording police officer activity; entering data in the police reporting system; maintaining certification and eligibility for access to criminal justice computer systems; checking and making entries to state and national criminal justice or other computer databases; taking payments for citations, permits, and other City business; greeting complainants and visitors to the police station at the front desk; utilizing radio equipment to communicate with officers, allied agencies, and other partners; keeping log books updated; manages keys to City buildings; and making emergency notifications to City or allied personnel.

PCO II Bennett also validates warrants and process; performs flagging, mailings, and follow-up with the MVA for unpaid parking citations; processes police department mail and outgoing correspondence; maintains certain filing systems; and prepares arrest, citation, and administrative files.

She spends much of her free time outside of work volunteering at the Shaft Fire Department.

PCO Charon Clark

PCO II Charon Clark

PCO II Clark joined the Frostburg City Police Department in 2014 and studied at Allegany College of Maryland before joining the department.

PCO II Clark provides police dispatch and communications services. She handles taking both emergency and non-emergency calls; dispatching, monitoring, and recording police officer activity; entering data in the police reporting system; maintaining certification and eligibility for access to criminal justice computer systems; checking and making entries to state and national criminal justice or other computer databases; taking payments for citations, permits, and other City business; greeting complainants and visitors to the police station at the front desk; utilizing radio equipment to communicate with officers, allied agencies, and other partners; keeping log books updated; manages keys to City buildings; and making emergency notifications to City or allied personnel.

She spends much of her free time outside of work volunteering at the Eastern Garrett Fire & Rescue Department.

Corporal Jordan Cook

Corporal Jordan Cook

Corporal Jordan Cook joined the Frostburg City Police Department in 2018. He received his Police Academy training at the Hagerstown Community College Police Academy. upon joining the department, he was assigned to field training and then to solo patrol.

Cpl. Cook has worked hard to provide a wide variety of police services, including but not limited to, emergency response, handling calls for service, conducting traffic enforcement, and criminal and motor vehicle crash investigations. He has participated in many of the department’s community policing events. These have included Storybook Holiday and Cocoa with the PoPo, Shop with a Cop, nursing home visits, No Shave November, and the prescription takeback program, among others.

Cpl. Cook serves in the department's honor guard, helps staff the Safe Haven Program, and was recently trained in certified as a field training officer. He is also a member of the FPD Recruiting Team.

First Sergeant Nathan Curry

First Sergeant Nathan Curry

First Sergeant Nathan Curry joined the Frostburg City Police Department in 2013.

Upon being hired, he was assigned to the Hagerstown Community College Police Academy for training. Throughout his career, he has been trained and certified as a Maryland police training Commission field training officer and police academic instructor. He serves as the Frostburg City Police Department's field training program coordinator.

He was promoted to the rank of Sergeant during a competitive promotional process in 2019. He serves as the shift supervisor on his work group, and he remains one of the most productive members of the Police Department. He handles both emergency and non emergency calls for service, criminal investigations and enforcement, motor vehicle crash investigations, and traffic enforcement. He also serves as the department's property room officer.

He holds an Associate Degree from Allegany College of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Society from Frostburg State University.

In addition to serving as the night watch commander, First Sergeant Curry also manages numerous collateral duties in the department, including property and evidence room management and the liaison to the Frostburg Community Coalition.

First Sergeant Curry is a graduate of the Maryland D.U.I. Institute and has been a multi-year winner of the DUI Award and also the Maryland Mothers Against Drunk Driving Award, both prestigious recognitions for superb work with DUI/DWI enforcement. In addition, First Sergeant Curry has served as the on-scene commander of numerous major incidents in the City of Frostburg.

Officer Tyler Davis

Officer Tyler Davis

Officer Tyler Davis joined the Frostburg Police Department in 2021, and he was assigned to the Washington County Police Academy for training. Officer Davis graduated with the top academic award in his police academy class.

After graduating from Mountain Ridge High School, Officer Davis graduated from Allegany College of Maryland, summa cum laude, with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Criminal Justice and of Frostburg State University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Law & Society/Criminal Justice and a business minor.

In addition to his education, Officer Davis has work experience in several supervisor roles at Chick-fil-A, with his last position being the Director of Operations at the Chick-fil-A at the Country Club Mall.

Officer Joshua Delaney

Officer Joshua Delaney

Officer Joshua Delaney joined the Frostburg Police Department in 2021, and he was assigned to the Washington County Police Academy for training.

After graduating from Mountain Ridge High School, Officer Delaney graduated from Salem University, with an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice, Specialized in Crime Scene Investigations.

In addition to his education, Officer Delaney previously served as a staff member at a local insurance agency, followed by service as a Surveillance Operator and later Surveillance Lead at Rocky Gap Casino Resort.

He was also an NCAA Division 2 Baseball Player from 2015-2018.

Officer Brady Ellsworth

Police Officer First Class Brady Ellsworth

PFC Brady Ellsworth joined the Frostburg City Police Department in 2019, upon which he was assigned to the Maryland Police Training Commission's Police Academy in Sykesville, MD for training. After completion of Police Academy training, he was assigned to field training followed by night shift patrol.

PFC Ellsworth handled a variety of police matters, including calls for service, emergency response, criminal investigations, and traffic enforcement. He has participated in several of the department's community policing programs, including Shop with a Cop and the prescription takeback program.

More recently, PFC Ellsworth became the School Resource Officer for the Frostburg City Police Department. PFC Ellsworth serves the public schools in the City. He provides community policing and student engagement services, serves as the liaison between the police department and school administrators, and enhances safety in the schools. PFC Ellsworth also serves as a D.A.R.E. Instructor for the two elementary schools in Frostburg.
