Community Policing
We believe that community policing is successful city policing. It is illustrative of the partnership and shared interest between the police and their community in making for a safe and happy community.
Our officers work every day to meet community members, to be responsible and available, and to work as a community to solve and prevent problems. Part of that is simply being accessible and being a part of the community. As such, we participate in many community events in Frostburg, including, but not limited to:
- Storybook Holiday & Cocoa with the PoPo
- Pirates Ahoy! & Lemonade with the Law
- The Frostburg Block Party
- The Frostburg Halloween Parade
- Frostburg Elks Derby Day
- Storybook Holiday Parade
- Shop with a Cop
- Cruisin’ Main Street
- Community Meet and Greet Events
- Guest Speaking to Community Groups of Classrooms
- Meshach Frost Village Block Party
- Police Station Tours
- Police Department Honor Guard
Our police department is proud to be a part of the community.
If you wish to arrange a tour of the police station or a police speaker for your group, please call 301-689-3000 or e-mail Chief Costello here.
