Frostburg Summer Day Camp

The Frostburg Parks & Recreation Department offers a Maryland state licensed Summer Day Camp on Monday - Friday during the summer for children ages 5-12 y/o.  This year's day camp is currently scheduled for Monday, June 16th – Friday, August 15th of 2025.  Children DO NOT have to be residents of Frostburg to register. This year's camp will operate in Community Park at the new Frostburg Child Development Center (202 South Water Street) next to the Frostburg Pool bathhouse. This year's camp offers a wide variety of activities including, arts & crafts, swimming, outdoor games, free play, and field trips. Field trips are typically taken weekly throughout the summer. Trips are all located within walking distance from the camp location. Camp directors and most of daily staff are professional educators with university student education majors on staff as well.  Campers typically visit the FSU planetarium, the fire and police departments, and various local businesses to sample their products and learn what they do everyday.

The Summer Day Camp Program is designed to nurture the overall development of the child. We fully expect to create an environment in which each camper will derive physical, mental, emotional, and social benefits from their camp participation. Our goal is to leave each individual camper with positive memories that will last a lifetime.
