Community Comments

This is an opportunity for the community to provide input to the Mayor and Council on subjects not related to a public hearing before the Council.  Comments offered at the meeting are always welcome.  However, in light of public health concerns and busy or conflicting schedules, staff will work to accomodate your public comments in a way that works best for you.

Community members wishing to offer testimony in advance on topics appearing on any  Council Meeting agenda are strongly encouraged to do so in writing by emailing comments to comments@frostburgcity.org by 4 pm the day of the meeting.  Community members who wish to offer verbal testimony to the Mayor and Council either via telephone or through their computer must pre-register by emailing comments@frostburgcity.org, or calling 301-689-6000 ext. 101, by 9:00 am the day of the Council meeting.  Each speaker is limited to five minutes unless otherwise granted by the Mayor. 

In addition to addressing the Council in person at a meeting, there are several ways of submitting feedback and input prior in advance. Feel free to use one or all of these options.

• Mail or deliver written comments to: 37 Broadway, Frostburg, MD 21532, attn: Elizabeth Stahlman, and include a notation that the comments are intended for the upoming Mayor and Council Meeting

While the Mayor and Council may appear intimidating when meeting as a formal body, be assured that the Council is made up of 5 citizens of Frostburg who care about your thoughts and issues and will listen to you!
